Since its founding, Stanley 1913 has had a loyal community. Whether it was construction crews at the turn of the century, outdoorsy Gen-Xers, Millennial Moms or Gen Z TikTokers, subcultures have found their way to Stanley for over 100 years. But despite their marquee products having a hydration focus, the brand had yet to tap into one of the most vocal and enthusiastic groups on earth: sports fans.
So in 2023, when Lionel Messi took his legacy to Inter Miami, we saw an opportunity to tell a true story of a partnership at the intersection of sports, culture and the greatest footballer of all time.
We created a campaign to relaunch the brand and its latest innovation, the Stanley Quencher ProTour, a travel tumbler designed with a foldable straw and leakproof lid. The campaign launched the brand’s first-ever multi-year partnership with a professional athlete, the legendary Messi.
